Memorial Weekend Camping Trip

We spent Memorial weekend camping in Sneads, Florida with our friends the Havercroft's and a few other families.

It was an 8 hour drive so we had the car all packed and ready Thursday night so we could be on the road by 5:00 Friday morning. We had a pretty nice ride over there. We stopped a few times to eat, and potty :) This was Maggie's first trip being potty trained, and she did great! So we got there at 2:30 and started setting up camp. Thank God Brent rigged up an air conditioning unit for us because it was pretty hot that weekend.

Maggie got to roast hot dogs and marshmallows over the fire. (I forgot how good s'mores are, yummy!) We rented a canoe, went for bike rides and walked around the park. While we were riding our bikes about 10 deer ran across the road right in front of us. And then an armadillo walked right up to our campfire one night. We had so much fun and I can't wait to go camping again!

On our way to Florida!

Finally here and ready to relax!

We went to the store to get ice and she passed out.

May Birthdays

May is a busy month of birthdays for us. Chuck turned 30 on May 2nd. My Dad turned 58 on May 11th. I turned 29 on May 20th. Then you throw in Mother's Day and Memorial weekend and you have a very busy month! We had a party for Chuck to celebrate him turning the big 30. We had crawfish and cake at our house for mine and my Dad's birthdays. I can't believe I will be 30 next year!
