A Weekend in Houston

Last weekend we went to Houston to visit with family. We spent Friday night at Steve and Michelle's, sitting in the hot tub, drinking and enjoying each others company. Saturday we to the barn to see Carlee's FFA pig, the goats and Maggie's favorite, cows. She loves animals! Saturday night we met the Sommer's and Hanley's for Gary's birthday dinner. Sunday we went to a pumpkin patch at Dewberry Farms. It was a little warm and windy, but thankfully the rain held off. We had a great family day!

Breast Cancer Walk

My sister, Erin and I decided we wanted to participate in a breast cancer walk this year. (I don't know why we didn't think about this sooner.) Our Grandmother (my dad's mom) died from breast cancer before we were born. Actually both our Grandmothers died before we were born so we never knew them. It's very sad. So we found the 6 th Annual Ethel Precht Hope Breast Cancer 3K Walk and decided to walk in it along with Chuck, Maggie, my Dad and my Mom. Luckily it was a beautiful morning, 55 degrees and sunny.
